Lalaounis Bracelet: Jewelry with a Unique Past

Men and women have adorned themselves with bracelets since ancient times. Ilias Lalaoúnis recognized this and gained inspiration from the past to create unique designs of genuine antique jewelry. Ilias Lalaounis was born in Athens, in 1920, and belonged to the fourth generation of a Greek family engaged in the goldsmiths’ trade. Even though he was a student at the University of Athens, studying Law and Economics, his profound interest in jewelry prompted him to join the family business, Zolotas, in 1940.

The business was being run by his uncle and he as a young apprentice goldsmith acquired sound knowledge on the history and skills of jewelry. In just half a century, Lalaounis created more than 50 collections and 17,000 jewelry designs; jewelry that has become an inherent part of celebrity style. If you wish for your attire to appear distinctive, then what you need to wear are the used and vintage Lalaounis bracelets.

Wear a pre-owned Lalaounis bracelet and travel back in time

If present-day fashion tilts towards bracelets that may or may not be adorned with precious gems, then Lalaounis jewelry has a new perspective for creating ancient style jewelry. Jewelry has been used by humans since historical times as currency, status symbols, body ornaments, and as tokens to ward off evil. Ilias Lalaounis, a jeweler, artist, and academician, became famous worldwide for creating luxurious gold jewelry filled with historical beauty.

Adorning your wrist with a second-hand Lalaounis bracelet could transform your evening into a historical experience; you can envisage yourself as a medieval princess, Pharoah or a goddess from Greek mythology.

In reality, all jewelry pieces signed Lalaounis have been designed using old goldsmithing techniques: repoussé, hand-hammering, granulation, filigree, and hand-weaving. Jewelry-making techniques that are thousands of years old.

Lalaounis can enthrall you with its collection of ancient jewelry: Greek or Aztec rushes, Egyptian cuffs, solid gold bracelets reminiscent of the Paleolithic era or spectacular old bracelets that are sure to attract attention.

La Maison Lalaounis, true to its heritage

IlÍas Lalaoúnis, the founder of Lalaounis House, wanted Greek craftsmanship to be shown to the world through his jewelry creations. This venture proved to be highly successful for the Greek jeweler. In 1958, Lalaounis took part in the International Fair of Thessaloniki; highlighting jewelry creations of Greek history. Currently, Lalaounis House has two jewelry outlets, located in Greece and Paris, together with a jewelry museum in the city of Athens bearing the name of the Greek House, Ilias Lalaounis Jewelry Museum.
