Temple Saint Clair, Masterminds in Jewelry for Over Three Decades

The history of the Maison Temple Saint Clair can be traced back to 1986 when it was established, in Florence, by designer Temple St. Clair Carr. This was the start of her collaborating with some of the finest goldsmiths in the world; the centuries-old Florentine goldsmiths’ guild. Barney’s New York noticed the designer’s jewelry work in Italy and gave her an invitation to display her first collection of jewelry in New York City. After this, her collections acquired recognition and were highly sought-after by jewelry connoisseurs throughout the USA.

In 2016, Temple St Clair won the GEM Award for Jewelry Design, the industry’s most distinguished honor, for her outstanding work on the Golden Menagerie. The brand’s outstanding collections are a prominent display of a connoisseur level of gemstones; unique pieces acquired through an ardent search of the world’s rarest stones, such as the lavishly decorated Lightning Ridge Australian Black Opal, fiery African Tsavorite, electric blue Brazilian Paraiba Tourmaline, and the designer’s iconic royal Blue Moonstone.

Stunning jewelry creations

The brand’s collections are strongly characteristic of Italian style, manifested in the brand’s initial years of jewelry creation, with a strong liking for the Renaissance period. The designer’s outstanding jewelry creations range from her rock crystal amulets, San Raphael angels to her exclusive cocktail rings. Temple St. Clair is famed for her modern classic jewelry designs, flawless use of fine colored gemstones, and stunning goldwork.

The brand’s Haute Couture Jewelry collection is a distinct representation of cherished artistic souvenirs. The creations are made with the best materials and expertise; possessing meaningful themes. In January 2015, her famous Mythical Creatures, from the Golden Menagerie Trilogy, was exhibited at the Louvre Museum in Paris. The second part, Wings of Desire, was displayed in November 2015, at the Salon: Art + Design at the Park Avenue Armory. The final part, The Big Game, emerged in December 2016 in New York, at the renowned DeLorenzo Gallery.
